Taylor University

Taylor University is an evangelical Christian college located in Upland, Indiana, about 90 minutes north of Indianapolis. Traditional student events include the Envision Film Festival, for which students write, direct and act in short films. Students can also participate in organizations such as the pep band or lacrosse club team. Students are required to live on campus in one of the residence halls, all of which are equipped with laundry services and kitchen facilities. Ministry and service are also integral to life on and off campus, and many students choose to volunteer with local ministries or assist the campus pastor through the chapel services program. The Taylor University Trojans field a number of varsity athletic teams.Academics at Taylor are organized into three different schools: the School of Natural and Applied Sciences, the School of Humanities, Arts and Biblical Studies and the School of Social Sciences, Education and Business. Within the schools are about 25 different departments encompassing a range of academic subjects such as music, history and earth and environmental sciences. The Honors Guild is for students interested in intellectual engagement and community, and members have access to the Honors Lodge on Taylor's campus. Taylor's Rice Bell Tower, with its twin spires, is meant to symbolize the integration of faith and learning.
