Bachelor of Science [B.S] Athletic Training
The Athletic Training Program (ATP) will prepare students for entry-level positions in secondary schools, colleges and universities, sports medicine clinics, professional sports programs, industrial settings and other healthcare environments. In addition, the ATP prepares students for graduate study in athletic training and other allied health care fields (e.g. physical therapy and physician assistant studies). The curriculum is designed to prepare students for the Board of Certification (BOC) examination.The ATP is spread out over six semesters and is a combination of challenging didactic courses and hands-on clinical experiences. These clinical experiences will be gained at The Florida State University Athletic Department, local area high schools, and medical clinics. Students will gain experiences with a wide variety of patient populations.
