Bachelor of Science [B.S] Health Education - Community Health Education
The program focuses on preparing students to:
- Assess individual and group needs for health education
- Plan, implement and evaluate effective health education programs
- Coordinate provisions for health education
- Act as a resource person in health education and work with communities
- Communicate health education needs, understand concerns and use resources effectively
Students are also required to complete two internships as part of the program. Internships are based on student interest and provide a hands-on, extended learning opportunity. The program requires students complete 124 credits, which includes WSUand College of Education requirements, 51 credits in Health Education core courses, and a minimum of 19 credits in Community Health electives.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students required to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
