The aim is to offer a music program with a liberal arts character. This means balancing intensive study in the traditional musical disciplines of performance, theory, and history with courses offering more breadth, such as popular music, jazz, worship and music, world music, and music and gender.

Standard XII English, a minimum final grade of 75%. Standard XII Mathematics, a minimum final grade of 75%. Overall 85% Standard XII. First or Second Division standing in one of the following: All India Senior School Certificate awarded by CBSE, Indian School Certificate awarded by CISCE, other pre-university certificate awarded after 12 years of academic studies. Applicants will be evaluated for admission based on 10th board examination results, final 11th school grades, and predicted Grade 12 board results from the school.
