Students pursuing careers as professional earth scientists or considering graduate studies in this area should follow the Geology Major Professional Concentration and carefully select elective courses within that program, in consultation with an advisor, to provide complementary training in either the atmosphere, hydrosphere, or biosphere, or some combination there of, depending on the student?s specific area of interest. Numerous minors complement the earth science major.
These include, but are not limited to, the following: coastal environments, environmental analysis, chemistry, biology, physics and math.
