Bachelor of Science [B.S] Economics
- The Bachelor of Economics is a 4-year program with Honours at Carleton University.
- Students will have the opportunity to apply to the Co-operative Education Program.
- A minimum of four work terms are required to obtain the Co-op designation on their degree.
- Students will learn the operation of market-based economies, examining the causes of economic growth, inflation, unemployment, and international trade.
- Students who wish to focus their studies in particular areas may choose to complete one or two of the seven available Concentrations:
- A progressive co-operative education option;
- Computational Analysis
- Development
- Economic Theory (recommended for students intending to pursue graduate studies in economics)
- Financial Economics
- International Political Economy
- Mathematics and Quantitative Economics
- Natural Resources, Environment, and Economy

Academic Eligibility:
- Students will need a secondary school or high school graduation certificate with a minimum of 12 years of study.
- Students must have transcripts from their senior high school along with their graduation diploma or certificate, and any graduation exam results.
