Bachelor of Science [B.S] Economics

  • The Bachelor of Economics is a 4-year program with Honours at Carleton University.
  • Students will have the opportunity to apply to the Co-operative Education Program.
  • A minimum of four work terms are required to obtain the Co-op designation on their degree.
  • Students will learn the operation of market-based economies, examining the causes of economic growth, inflation, unemployment, and international trade.
  • Students who wish to focus their studies in particular areas may choose to complete one or two of the seven available Concentrations:

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students will need a secondary school or high school graduation certificate with a minimum of 12 years of study.
  • Students must have transcripts from their senior high school along with their graduation diploma or certificate, and any graduation exam results.
  • If English is not the students’ first language then they must provide proof of English competency.
