The Department of English and Theatre offers a one-year (full-time) programme leading to the Master's degree in English literature. The programme is a combination of thesis and course work. Students will participate in small seminar classes, broadening their understanding of the discipline, and, working closely with a supervisor, write a thesis based on the student's area of interest. Where possible, students are also offered the opportunity to gain teaching experience.The Department welcomes graduate students working within a wide variety of scholarly and critical approaches. Our distinguished faculty specialize in a diverse array of theoretical approaches and methodologies in their study of a wide range of English literary periods, genres, and authors.
