Bachelor of Science [B.S] Political Science
- Political Science is the study of the formal institutions of government and the actual behavior of people in public life. It examines both the institutions and processes of government using both empirical and normative research methodologies. A degree with a major in political science is of value to all persons who take the responsibilities and opportunities of membership in a democratic society seriously.
- Specifically, political science is the undergraduate major of a majority of persons who attend law school; serves as a prerequisite for graduate study in a number of social science disciplines; and is an ideal liberal art major for careers in business, journalism, public and international affairs, the federal government, state and local government, teaching, interest groups, campaign management, communications, and many others.
- Supervised internships and cooperative study programs at sites in business, industry, and government are available and students are strongly urged to participate.

Academic Eligibility:
- Graduation from high school with a GPA of 2.5 with qualifying test scores-or graduation from high school with a GPA of 2.6 without test scores(If educated outside of the United States, the required official evaluation must indicate GPA)
- Official transcripts of ALL student's high school or post-secondary records. English evaluations of all foreign documents will be needed. Students must have their foreign transcripts evaluated by one of the following credential evaluation services found at naces.org.
- Students High School transcript will need to have a document-by-document evaluation including GPA.
- Students College/University transcript will need to have a course-by-course evaluation.
- Results from your Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT).
- International students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
- Completion of the first two levels of English Composition college-level courses with a “C” or higher at an accredited American institution.
- Successful completion through Level Six of the Kennesaw State University Intensive English Program.
