Bachelor of Science [B.S] Biochemical Engineering
- The educational objectives of the Biochemical Engineering program at the University of Georgia are to prepare graduates who achieve a high level of technical expertise, entrepreneurial thinking, and team spirit to recognize, define, and innovate design solutions for biochemical processes; establish themselves as ethically, socially, and culturally perceptive leaders in their profession and community; and pursue life-long learning.
- Students prepare for careers devoted to engineering biochemical processes which will yield useful products in the bio-medicine, pharmaceutical, bio-refinery, bio-environmental systems, and food industry fields.

At UGA, the only minimum score requirements in place are the ones required by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia for admission to its research universities: that is, an SAT-CR of 430 and SAT-M of 400, or subscores of 17 on both the English and Math sections of the ACT.
Persons seeking admission to the University of Georgia Graduate School must hold a baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting association or its international equivalent prior to the expected semester of matriculation with the exception of University of Georgia undergraduate students enrolled in linked bachelors/masters programs. Applicants should be ranked in the upper half of their undergraduate class. Applicants are responsible for submitting application materials required for admission. These items include, but are not limited to, the following:
