About this course:
- The Master of Science in Energy Systems integrates the technology side of energy systems development with the financial planning needed to effectively implement them.
- The goal of the program is to create a high-level, signature, interdisciplinary graduate program for the engineer or technical business major who is pursuing an industrial or public-planning-based career.
- The program curriculum is firmly rooted in energy technology and includes exposure to the interface with business and financial decision processes.
- Students are exposed to business educators and practicing professionals and have the opportunity to participate in a six-month co-op experience.
- Practicing professionals with experience at this interface who have successfully implemented energy systems or devices and policies are actively involved in the program as adjunct professors and invited speakers.
- The curriculum is flexibly designed with a set of six core courses in engineering knowledge and finance and four electives that can be taken from any department within the College of Engineering.
