Master of Science [M.S] Applied Economics
- MS in Applied Economics is a 1-year program offered on a full-time basis.
- It is designed to be a self-contained program that gives the successful student valuable skills as an applied economist.
- Graduates with such skills are in demand by both the public and private sectors.
- This is intended to be a terminal degree and not preparation for entry into a doctoral program.
- The culmination of the program is an Applied Master’s Project, conducted in the summer.
- At the end of the semester, students have to complete a project that allows students to gain experience in performing practical economic research from start to finish as is commonly found in consulting projects or government agency reports.
- Students also gain practical experience attending and preparing for structured meetings, giving formal presentations, and technical writing.
