Each of our degrees offers a comprehensive background for post-graduate studies in all areas of the biological sciences, secondary education, and professional programs in medicine, dentistry, optometry and veterinary medicine.
The department at Louisiana State University offers degrees in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry and Microbiology. All of the degrees require 23 to 25 hours of credit referred to as core courses and a minimum of 14-17 hours of upper division elective courses. Academic Requirements:
- Students must have an equivalent of high school diploma
- Minimum GPA required is 3.0 on a scale of 4.0
- Students should submit their ACT or SAT scores
- Submit official transcripts of all the previous education
