Master of Science [M.S] Chemistry
- The Department of Chemistry at SMU has a long history of excellence in research and teaching. The faculty maintain active research programs, attend numerous national and international meetings in their fields, and publish in major journals.
- The Ph.D. program, established in 2004, builds on the faculty expertise and emphasizes three major areas: Organic/Medicinal/Bioorganic Chemistry; Materials/Polymer Chemistry, and Theoretical/Computational Chemistry.
- The new first-semester curriculum is uniform for all entering students. This provides core courses in all three departmental pillars (Chem 6116, 6115, 6118). In the newly designed course “Modern Aspects of Chemistry” (CHEM 6220) each faculty presents his/her current/future research and an overview of the field.

Indian Students Eligibility:
- Applicants must have bachelor degree in chemistry from reconised institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
