Doctor of Philososphy [Ph.D] Biophysics
The Biophysics Graduate Program (BP) at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) prepares scientists to leverage new and emerging research tools—from nanotechnology to nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy—to quantify biological processes in living biological systems using physics and chemistry.

Academic Eligibility:
- Qualified applicants will have diverse backgrounds with an undergraduate degree in the biological sciences, genetics, chemistry, bioinformatics, pharmacology, engineering and pharmacy
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or the equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
- GPA of 3.0
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Applicants must have bachelor of science or bachelor of arts degree from recognised institution
- GPA of 3.0 is required
- Applicants with strong academic backgrounds in biological sciences, genetics, chemistry, bioinformatics, pharmacology, engineering and pharmacy
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
