Bachelor of Science [B.S] Environmental Science

  • Environmental Science is the study of the interaction between plants, animals and the environment, and human impacts on these systems. This program provides the scientific background necessary to address environmental issues such as pollution, climate change, resource management, and the conservation of wildlife and their habitats.
  • This degree offers a wide range of career opportunities, with the environmental sector seeing rapid employment growth across Canada. Students select one of three streams of specialization from Biodiversity, Physical Sciences, and Resource Management.
  • All students complete a final-year project in preparation for professional practice. This project can be completed as part of a co-op placement with Parks Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Foods Canada or another Federal or Manitoba agency.

  • Students with General Certificate of Education (GCE) must have passed in five different subjects of which at least two must be passed at the Advanced level.
  • Students with an International Baccalaureate (IB) with an overall score of 24 points are considered to have the equivalent of Manitoba High School Graduation for purposes of admission to Brandon University.
