Bachelor of Arts [B.A] Media and Design - Photography and Media Art

  • Students will expand their artistic potential through a broad-based education in studio art, photography and media art, or graphic art.
  • Students will spend time in photography darkrooms, wood and metal workshops, and in studios in the following art areas: sculpture, printmaking, video, photography, digital photography, graphic art, painting, and drawing.
  • Three areas of concentration are offered:
    • A Photography and Media Art concentration designed to develop artistic skills and abilities in photography, digital photography, video, and web art.
    • A Studio Art concentration designed to develop artistic skills and abilities in painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and digital imaging.
    • A Graphic Art concentration designed to develop artistic skills and abilities in primarily two-dimensional media, focusing on an intersection of art and design which can include the following areas: photography, drawing, printmaking, text, digital imaging, web art, the graphic novel, and the artist book and poster.

Academic Eligibility: 

  • Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
  • Students are required to maintain at least a 2.0 overall GPA.

Language Requirments:

  • Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores. 
  • Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission. 

International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
