The program is specifically designed to meet the needs of California?s diverse student body, emphasizing language development, cultural diversity, and humanistic approaches to the learning process. Integrated throughout the programs are methodologies to deliver comprehensive instruction to English learners and to work with special populations in the general education classroom.

To provide convenience and flexibility, the program is available at three campus locations: La Verne, College of the Canyons, and Victorville.

It is practical in nature and culminates in a project or paper structured to help teachers improve their instructional and leadership abilities.
