Doctor of Philosophy [Ph.D] Cognitive Psychology

    • Computational modeling of qualitative and quantitative patterns of behavior
    • Eye-tracking studies (particularly gaze direction and the timing of eye movements)
    • Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI)
    • Cortical electrophysiology (event-related potentials, phase coherence, and synchronization in the EEG)
    • Other psychophysiological measures such as heart rate, pupil diameter, and skin conductance.
  • The Cognitive Psychology program prepares students for employment in academic settings, research institutes, and positions in the private sector.

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must have earned a bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university.
  • A 3.0 GPA during the last 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits of their undergraduate degree, with most courses graded regularly is required.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Completed a 4-year UG degree from a recognized institution
  • Or, completed a master's degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
