Master of Science [M.S] Marine Science
The degree programs are fundamentally grounded in a broad, integrated, interdisciplinary approach to the study of marine sciences and technology and science management. Students located at the five participating campuses are required to complete "core" courses selected from the natural and social sciences to equip them for interdisciplinary studies and research before focusing upon an area of concentration.
M.S. students may choose either a thesis or non-thesis option. The thesis option requires a minimum of 30 credit hours and the non-thesis option requires 33 credit hours. Full-time M.S. students normally complete their degree requirements in four semesters. Part-time M.S. students are encouraged to take two courses per semester.
