Master of Science [M.S] Electrical Engineering
- Students in the M.S. degree obtain mastery of an area of Electrical Engineering through the completion of either a Thesis Option (Plan I) or an Exam Option (Plan II).
- The focus is on obtaining mastery of a specific area through taking advanced courses and/or completing a thesis.
- The program is 1-2 years. At least 36 units in ECE and related areas.
- Students will be required to write and present a Master’s thesis as part of their degree requirements. They will also be required to complete an additional 12 units of research.
- Students will be required to pass a comprehensive exam that consists of five questions selected from one of the following three exam areas: Nano-materials and Devices; Signals, Systems, and Machine Intelligence; and VLSI Circuits and Systems.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a related subject from a recognized university.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required on a 4.0 scale to be eligible for the program.
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
