The Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Built Environments is a 4-year, 120-credit, solutions-based, interdisciplinary undergraduate degree that educates students in the comprehensive understanding of environmental design, planning, and management challenges. The B.S. in Sustainable Built Environments will prepare graduates for challenges to be met in a rapidly developing world with global issues of an unprecedented nature.

The knowledge of physics, biology, economics, environmental management and ethics, sustainable design and planning, history of world architecture, water and energy systems, theory and principles of urban design, and geography, gained from a major in Sustainable Built Environments, provides graduates with the skills to work in sustainability-focused careers in the broad areas of planning, landscape architecture, architecture, construction, land development, property management, renewable energy, energy efficiency, product development and manufacturing, environmental law, public policy, and management consultation. This major is also excellent preparation for graduate studies in architecture, or architectural engineering.
