After successful completion of candidacy (in the sophomore year), students choose from numerous options for their intermediate/advanced coursework, including website design, motion graphics, branding, publication design, advanced typography and packaging, as well as design history and theory. Seniors gain valuable preparation and experience with client relationships in the Design Practicum course and benefit from valuable off-campus internship opportunities in professional design studios. The curriculum is further enriched through workshops and lectures by visiting designers, participation in regional and national competitions and exhibitions, trips to various cities to visit museums and tour professional design studios, and portfolio reviews organized by professional design organizations.
