Mathematical Economics Student Learning Outcomes

• Mathematical Economics majors will demonstrate an understanding of the concepts, terminology, and models of microeconomics and macroeconomics.
• Mathematical Economics majors will be able to apply economic theory and methods to selected real world economic problems.
• Mathematical Economics majors will develop an understanding of mathematical concepts and methods, statistical analysis, data gathering, and data analysis using statistical software.
• Mathematical Economics majors will be able to define and analyze economic issues by identifying a question, using an appropriate theoretical framework, designing an empirical analysis, and synthesizing the results into a policy conclusion.
