  • McGill MScPH students come from a variety of academic backgrounds including the basic sciences, health sciences, engineering as well as social sciences, such as sociology and economics
  • This program train population and public health researchers, educators and practitioners who excel and lead in their chosen career path.
  • Students may choose from among five streams of study, including: Epidemiology, Global Health, Health Policy & Ethics, Infectious Disease and Population Dynamics.
  • MScPH students gain valuable experience though a minimum 14-week practicum in a research or practice setting.

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related area: Basic sciences, health sciences, engineering, social sciences (such as sociology, economics, political science), and the health professions. 
  • The admissions committee will look for proof of quantitative proficiency, grades B+ or above in at least two undergraduate-level courses in differential or integral calculus, or in other university level mathematics or statistics courses
  • A cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0/4.0, or minimum 3.2/4.0 over the last two years of study: GPA calculations are done by the university
  • Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS)
  • For international health professionals, and other applicants without significant quantitative training on their transcript, GRE results with a strong result (160+) in the Quantitative score, may strengthen your application.
