Bachelor Journalism and Media Writing
The Journalism major at Lasell has a professional focus, rooted in Connected Learning, that seeks to educate students by promoting self-expression, academic exploration and critical thinking in academic, civic, and career-relevant areas.
- Students in the Journalism major prepare for jobs as news reporters and editors, magazine writers and social media managers. They develop professional portfolios to showcase their news, feature, and digital writing projects for prospective employers.
- Lasell offers a Fifth Year option to students so they can complete both their bachelor's degree and a Master's of Science in Communication (MSC) in as little as five years.

Academic Eligibility:
- High School transcript (including 1st marking period senior year grades)
- Personal statement or essay on a topic of own choice (250 word minimum)
- 1 letter or form of recommendation (must be from an academic teacher or counselor)
- SAT/ACT scores (optional) Lasell University has a Test-Optional Policy. If the applicants believe on their standardized tests support their candidacy, Applicants are encouraged to submit their scores (CEEB code: 3481).
Indian Eligibility:
In addition to the items listed in the Completed Application Checklist, International students must also submit:
- Official results of the TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson or Duolingo English Test
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended (if he is a Transfer International student)
