The M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering program enables our graduates to:
- Apply and synthesize technical knowledge to provide solutions to advanced Civil and Environmental Engineering problems in a chosen subject area of mastery (Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Water Resources, or Transportation Engineering).
- Demonstrate the ability for lifelong learning necessary for the constantly evolving nature of engineering design and practice.
- Effectively communicate technical information orally and in writing.
- Demonstrate independent thinking and decision making skills.
- Integrate ethical and professional components into the solutions of complex engineering problems.
- Evaluate engineering systems for sustainable performance and create solutions to encompass a project's full lifecycle.

Academic Eligibility:
- Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related physical science
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 in the last 90 quarter units (60 semester) attempted
?Indian Student Eligibility:
- The minimum requirements are an overall average of 60% in each year, as well as in all prerequisite subjects.
- Subjects must include mathematics, chemistry, and physics in Classes 11 and 12.
- GPA of 3.0/4.0 [B Grade or 83-86%].
English Language proficiency:
- Applicants from India, China, Vietnam, Philippines, and Pakistan should note that IELTS is the only proficiency score accepted by the Study Direct Stream (SDS) program.
- Meeting the minimum English requirements does not guarantee admission. Students with higher English proficiency scores will receive priority in the admission assessment process.
- Not all students will qualify for EAP-3106 in place of the required IELTS or TOEFL test scores.
Submission of GRE scores is compulsory for this program, however, it is recommended to submit a minimum 326 score for a better chance of admission.
