Bachelor Molecular Biology and Biochemistry
The Biology major is useful for students whose career plans lie in pure or applied biology; agriculture; biochemistry; biotechnology; botany; conservation, environmental quality, and natural resources; dentistry; ecology; food science and nutrition; forestry; genetics; horticulture; human medicine; limnology, marine biology, and biological oceanography; microbiology; natural history and nature study; pharmacy; plant pathology; public health; teaching of biology; toxicology; veterinary medicine; wildlife management; and zoology.
The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree and The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology: Cell Biology is offered as a joint program between Rutgers University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) through the Federated Department of Biological Sciences. The B.A. major requires 38 credits of course work in biological sciences, plus cognate course credits in chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Courses are offered on the Rutgers and NJIT campuses.

Academic Eligibility:
- SAT/ACT Scores (with writing) [not needed if graduated from high school two or more years before the dates the classes start at SEBS or if the applicant have finished secondary school and have received at least 12 college credits with final grades by the admissions application due date.]

- Official high school transcript(s) with final grades for all coursework with a certified translation in English. In addition, students might be asked to provide translated syllabi or course descriptions for faculty evaluation once on campus.
- If applicable, official college transcript(s) for all colleges previously attended with a certified translation in English.
