Bachelor of Science [B.S] Environmental Science, Technology and Policy
Environmental Science Technology and Policy B.S. students acquire skills spanning the full range of tasks involved in professional environmental science and management, including: fieldwork, laboratory analysis, geospatial technology, quantitative analysis, oral and written communication, and environmental management.
Students in the ESTP program at CSUMB develop skill sets in field work, laboratory analysis, geospatial technology, quantitative data analysis, oral and written communication, and environmental law, regulation, and policy.
The program encompasses disciplines such as hydrology, plant ecology, aquatic ecology, watershed science, mammalogy, botany, conservation, geomorphology, soil science, as well as technical areas including geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, and statistics.
Successful graduates typically attain careers in consulting, government, non-profits, education, or private business. The program also prepares students for entry into masters of science (M.S.) programs, and some continue on to the PhD level.
