Master of Science [M.S] Biostatistics

The goal of the MSc program is to train students in the theory and application of statistical methods in the biomedical sciences.  The MSc degree, which one can earn in two years of full-time study, requires successful completion of a written qualifying exam and the preparation of a Master’s thesis. The courses include probability, mathematical statistics, epidemiology, and statistical methods including categorical data analysis, linear models, multivariate methods, survival analysis, statistical computing and applied data analysis.

Academic Eligibility:

  • Applicants should have completed a bachelor’s degree with at least one year of calculus (including multivariable calculus) from a recognized university.
  • Students should also have experience of one semester of linear algebra.
  • Proof of English proficiency may be required for international applicants, whose first language is not English.
  • Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL to get admission to this program.
  • A GPA of 3.0 average is required.
