Master of Arts [M.A] Economics
- The MA in Economics is an intensive, 12-month to 16-month course of study that prepares the student for PhD-level research in economics or to pursue a career as an economic analyst in the public or private sector.
- The Department also offers a Master of Development Economics (MDE), a professional course of study that focuses on economic progress in poor countries and poor regions of wealthy countries such as Canada.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students should have completed a 4-year bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
- A minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.33 (B grade) in the last 60 credit hours of study is required to be eligible for the program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a 3-year undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
