The Social Sciences program offered at the University of Central Florida has a cluster of academic disciplines that focus on human society and interpersonal relationships. Each of the disciplines within the social sciences provides a critical view of the social world and enables one to analyze and understand how societies work.

- Apart from this, there are other ways for international students to establish their proficiency in the English language, such as:
- Minimum 520 EBRW rSAT or 480 critical reading SAT or 20 ACT (English section).
- An onsite assessment by UCF ELI faculty qualified to administer fluency in English language.
- Students must achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in all courses taken that could meet major requirements.
