The Sociology Program at EMU offers both major and minor degree programs in general and applied Sociology.
The sociology curriculum offers a broad education that emphasizes the social and cultural basis of human lived experiences, interactions, and motivation, along with the development of flexible analytical reasoning skills and tools for data management and analysis. This major prepares students for work within non-profit, governmental, and social service agencies, as well as within medicine, law, and business.
