  • The curriculum draws from both the humanities and the social sciences, and covers a wide array of topics including modern Hebrew and Yiddish. Judaic studies majors can construct their own areas of specialization within the major.
  • Area specializations include but are not limited to: Jewish communal service, Jewish history, Jewish thought, Holocaust studies, literature and culture, and those that are individually designed. Judaic studies also offers minors in Judaic studies, Israel studies and Hebrew, and a minor in religious studies.

Academic Eligibility:

  • Official transcripts are required for each of the most recent three (3) years of schooling completed. 
  • Proof of English proficiency may be required for international applicants, whose first language is not English.
  • Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL to get admission in this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • The student has graduated from senior secondary school or equivalent from the recognized institution.
  • Non-native English speakers must submit one test score demonstrating English Proficiency. All test scores must be less than 2 years old.
  • Binghamton accepts the following tests for demonstrating English proficiency:  TOEFL,  IELTS, Duolingo, SAT and ACT.
