- MS in Pure Mathematics is a 2 years program offered on a full-time basis.
- The Department of Mathematics is strongly committed to graduate education and research and offers programs of study leading to both the master’s (MA and MS) and the doctoral (PhD) degrees.
- The program is designed to prepare students for mathematical careers in the academic, corporate, and governmental sectors.
- PhD and master’s degrees are offered with concentrations in four areas:
- Pure Mathematics
- Applied and Computational Mathematics
- Financial Mathematics
- Biomathematics
- The four study areas give opportunities for graduate student and faculty interaction.
- All students enrolled in the mathematics graduate program have to complete 36 graduate credit hours of graduate courses

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete a bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Extensive upper-division course work in mathematics, such as in analysis, algebra, numerical analysis, and proof-based courses, with at least a 3.0 average is required.
Indian Eligibility:
- Students are required to submit their 4-year bachelor's degree with 70% or above from the accredited college or university.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
