Archaeology is the interdisciplinary study of the human past through the examination of material and biological remains, including artifacts, human and animal bones, architecture, and plants. The student will learn the field methods and laboratory techniques used to study these materials, as well as theories archaeologists use to understand the ancient cultures and past civilizations of the Americas, Europe, and the pre-Classical and Classical Mediterranean world.
