Bachelor of Arts [B.A] English
- English majors take 18 hours of courses in lower-division major requirements. These courses are designed as an introduction to the field of English Studies.
- At the 3000/4000 level, students choose one course from each of eight categories: Language, Writing, Genres, Cultural Studies, Theory, and three-period requirements.
- The English major culminates in the Senior Seminar, which is the major’s capstone course.
- All English majors must demonstrate competence in foreign languages up through the level of FL 2002.

Academic Eligibility:
- Graduation from high school with a GPA of 2.5 with qualifying test scores-or graduation from high school with a GPA of 2.6 without test scores(If educated outside of the United States, the required official evaluation must indicate GPA)
- Official transcripts of ALL student's high school or post-secondary records. English evaluations of all foreign documents will be needed. Students must have their foreign transcripts evaluated by one of the following credential evaluation services found at naces.org.
- Students High School transcript will need to have a document-by-document evaluation including GPA.
- Students College/University transcript will need to have a course-by-course evaluation.
- Results from your Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT).
- International students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
- Completion of the first two levels of English Composition college-level courses with a “C” or higher at an accredited American institution
- Successful completion through Level Six of the Kennesaw State University Intensive English Program
