Bachelor of Science [B.S] Civil Engineering
CBU?s civil engineering degree gives students a base-level competency in seven specialized areas of civil engineering, and they can take two elective courses chosen from among these seven areas to more precisely tailor their learning experience. The seven specializations students learn include: environmental, water resources, structures, soil mechanics and foundation, transportation, construction management and surveying.
Students attend PSWC each year, competing in civil engineering challenges, such as creating a steel bridge or creating clean drinking water in a natural disaster scenario. The conference is a great opportunity to practice skills, play sports, and network with students from several other universities and colleges. Students also have the opportunity to go on field trips or take technical tours. For example, students recently visited the Wilshire Grand Center in downtown LA, which is a 11,000-foot skyscraper.
