Bachelor of Arts [B.A] Art and Design - Printmaking

Printmaking provides instruction in the history, methods and techniques of intaglio (etching/engraving), lithography, relief (woodcut/linoleum) and screen printing. Students are taught traditional and photographic applications of intaglio, lithography, screen printing, and relief.

The Printmaking program has a rich tradition of visiting artist programs and student engagement in the national printmaking community and the Southern Graphics Council International.

Academic Eligibility:

  • Applicant must have received or be receiving a high school diploma or a GED certificate before the term for which he/she is applying. 
  • Applicant submit your official high school transcript after graduation.
  • If GPA is 2.0-2.99, applicant must also report ACT or SAT test score on the application.

Standards:

  • High school GPA of 3.0 or higher (no ACT/SAT test score required for admission decision).  
  • High School GPA of 2.0 - 2.99  with an ACT composite score of 18 or higher (SAT 960 or higher).

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they have any one of the following certificates:

  • All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSCE)
  • Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)
  • Indian School Certificate (ISC)
  • Intermediate Examination Certificate
  • Pre-University Examination Certificate
  • Students must have a Grade XII chemistry or Grade XII physics.
  • Students also hold Grade XII math (Minimum math result of 55%).

Students are not required to take the IELTS or TOEFL Academic if English is their native language or if Students have spent at least three years at a secondary school where English is the primary language of instruction.
