Bachelor of Science [B.S] Aviation, Air Traffic Management

The Air Traffic Management concentration trains students for the exciting and lucrative career opportunities in the Air Traffic Control profession. In addition to the general education and business coursework, completion of this degree qualifies students for AT-CTI candidacy for Air Traffic Control positions with the FAA, Lockheed Martin AFSS and others. Oklahoma University’s AT-CTI program consists of five traditional and one online course that constitute a significant portion of the major requirement’s area. This program is unique in that it provides training in every possible ATC venue: Air Traffic Control Tower Operator, Enroute Non-Radar and Radar Training, Terminal Radar Training, Traffic Management and Flight Service. Once the Aviation Bachelor of Science degree has been completed, Oklahoma University Aviation will recommend the student to the FAA for hiring as an Air Traffic Controller. To be eligible, one may not have reached his/her 31st birthday. Oklahoma University has the distinct advantage of being located approximately 20 miles from the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City.

Academic Eligibility: 

  • Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
  • Students required to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.

Language Requirments:

  • Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores. 
  • Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission. 

International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
