Master of Science [M.S] Finance

  • Develop the technical skills required for specialist and management roles in financial enterprise by completing the Master of Science in Finance degree program at UB’s Ernest C. Trefz School of Business.
  • This highly specialized degree will focus exclusively on issues related to finance, economics, and money markets.
  • They will introduce the students to modern concepts, such as financial regulation and behavioral finance, that play a critical role in today’s marketplace.
  •        At UB, students will gain the decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities to             solve financial problems, including how to:

    • Evaluate and price a financial opportunity
    • Gauge the appropriate level of risk to discount future projections
    • Compare across investment opportunities at a given time and how to allocate among them in an optimal way
    • Create useful tools for answering financial questions so that reports can be generated automatically and progress can be tracked
    • Assess and manage risk

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related STEM field from an accredited university or recognized international institution
  • Students are recommended a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.90 or higher.

Indian Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Completed 4 years of a bachelor's degree in the first division in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
