Academic Eligibility:
- Students have to complete an Honours bachelor's degree (BEng, BSc, or equivalent) in the related field from a recognized University.
- The related fields include a UG degree in physical sciences, mathematics, or engineering that included a substantial computational component.
- For the thesis option, students must have a bachelor’s degree with an average of at least B+ grade (77% equivalent to a McMaster GPA of 8.5) in the last 2 years of study.
- For the course-and-project option, students must have a bachelor’s degree with an average of at least a B grade (73% equivalent to a McMaster GPA of 7.5) in the last 2 years of study.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a 3-year UG degree must have a substantial background in computer science or software engineering or a related field.
- Students must have a B+ or B average grade, based on a full-year equivalent of final year courses.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
