Doctor of Philosophy [Ph.D] Economics
The Emory PhD Program puts students on the intellectual frontier of the economic discipline by introducing them to the leading-edge theories and techniques. This training allows students to actively investigate research questions of particular interest and importance to them. Students in the PhD program in Economics at Emory get the financial support including a generous annual stipend and a full-tuition scholarship.

Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must have a bachelor's degree need to demonstrate a strong mathematical and statistical background and a commitment to graduate study in economics.
- Students have better than a B+ average, and strong undergraduate or professional research experiences.
- International applicants whose native language is not English must also complete the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Applicants must have passed graduation in a relevant field from a recognized institution with 60%.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
