Master of Applied Science [M.ASc] Mining Engineering
- The Master of Applied Science in Mining Engineering is a 1-year program at the University of British Columbia(UBC).

- The graduate program in Mining Engineering has two types of students in mind:
- Those from the industry who wish to improve their workplace skills; and
- Those who wish to pursue research leading to advances in state-of-the-art or state-of-the-practice mining and mineral process engineering.

Academic eligibility:
- Students must have a four-year bachelor's degree in Engineering with First Class/Division 1 (65%).
- If English is not the students’ first language then they must provide proof of English competency.
Indian student requirements:
- A four-year bachelor's degree or a master's degree.
- The bachelor’s degree with 65% marks or 8 on a 10-point scale.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
