Bachelor of Arts [B.A] Theater Arts, Television and Media Arts
The major in theatre arts/television and media arts affords an opportunity to concentrate in one of two directions: theatre or television. Theatre Arts provides fundamental experiences in performance, production, and/or arts management necessary for professional goals. Television has similar pre-professional goals that focus on either the news and documentary fields or television drama.
The theater program offers a joint degree with the Division of Theater Arts and Technology at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).
The Rutgers/NJIT Theater Program offers required classes at both Rutgers and NJIT. All students majoring in theater must complete two sets of course requirements: a core and one area of specialization.

Academic Eligibility:
- SAT/ACT Scores (with writing) [not needed if graduated from high school two or more years before the dates the classes start at SEBS or if the applicant have finished secondary school and have received at least 12 college credits with final grades by the admissions application due date.]
- Completed application form
- $70 nonrefundable application fee
- Official high school transcript(s) with final grades for all coursework with a certified translation in English. In addition, students might be asked to provide translated syllabi or course descriptions for faculty evaluation once on campus.
- If applicable, official college transcript(s) for all colleges previously attended with a certified translation in English.
Indian Eligibility:
- Indian School Certificate, Intermediate Certificate, Higher School Certificate, Higher Secondary Certificate, All India Senior School Certificate, and Pre-University course: (awarded on completion of Standard XII)
- Qualifying English Proficiency Tests like TOFL, IELTS,PTE and MELAB
