Whether you have an interest in a teaching credential or a broad liberal arts education, the Christ-centered liberal studies, elementary education major prepares you to teach a broad range of subjects in PreK-12. Coursework focuses on methods of instruction that promote human development and learning. Highlights include:

• Participation in field experience in culturally diverse communities
• Application of math and science teaching strategies
• Investigation of theories and concepts of cognitive development
• Application of instructional practices for English language development
• Integration of cross-cultural literature for children
• Identification of special learning needs as well as skills to meet them
