The Fine Art major is the first step toward acceptance into an MFA program, which is the necessary degree for pursuing a teaching position at the college level. After an exploratory period students are encouraged to concentrate the majority of their credits in a single area: painting, ceramics, sculpture, or printmaking. The Fine Art major cultivates the individual voice and vision of the Fine Art student and prepares the to sustain their professional lives as practicing artists.
