Master of Arts [M.A] Information Systems

  • The Robert Morris University Master of Information Systems program teaches students to apply their knowledge of technology and skills in problem- solving to meet business challenges and anticipate future needs.
  • At the completion of this course students start to conceptualize and implement database systems to manage information in an organization.
  • The curriculum provides a solid foundation of communication skills and applies them to IS applications including database management, information security, and networking.
  • At the completion of Robert Morris University's MIS Program, students will be able to:

    • Demonstrate communication strategies appropriate to professional roles.
    • Conceptualize, organize and resolve complex information system problems.
    • Evaluate the ethical and social implications of business and personal decisions.
    • Conceptualize and implement database systems to manage information in an organization.
    • Design secure network infrastructure and disaster recovery plan to protect organizational resources from internal and external threats.

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students should have completed a bachelor’s degree with:
    • 55%; or
    • CGPA 6.1 (10 point system); or
    • CGPA 4.5 (7 point system); or
    • CGPA 2.67 (4 point system)
  • Students should have a minimum of 2:2 (or overseas equivalent) in an undergraduate degree. Any degree subject will be considered.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
