Master of Science [M.S] Instructional Design and Development

The Master of Science degree program in Instructional Design and Development provides students with the information and skill training to analyze instructional tasks, to design and deliver instructional programs, and to perform evaluative procedures on instructional products and services. The job market potential for graduates of the program includes the management of in-service education in business and industry, health-related institutions and agencies, military agencies, institutions of higher education, K-12 education, and related self-employed activities.

  • Each student will be assigned a major professor and will complete a course-of-study form by the end of the first semester of study.
  • A program committee will be appointed to work with the student.
  • A Master's Comprehensive Examination will be completed by each student during the student's last semester.

The Master's program in Instructional Design and Development (IDD) has both on-campus and on-line courses. Although not all courses are taught in both formats, students are able to complete the Master's program in one format or the other, or a combination of on-campus and on-line courses.?

Using the Internet and other distance learning technologies, the IDD on-line program provides an educational opportunity for those who choose to use similar technology that they might employ for delivering educational and training courses after graduation.
