Diploma Culinary Management

  • Master the art of food and flavour in the Culinary Management program. Students will explore locally grown food, experiment with ethnic and contemporary cuisine, and develop their skills in the culinary arts while learning valuable management skills that will take their careers to the next level.
  • Significant focus is placed on lab/kitchen time, encouraging students to develop their techniques and products, much of which they are able to take home and enjoy. Graduates are sought after by a broad range of employers because of their unique skills, which include artisan meat cutting, cheese production, baking, canning, and preserving.
  • The Culinary Management program is offered at the W. Galen Weston Centre for Food (WC), which is guided by a field-to-fork philosophy and sustainable business practices in all activities. This incredible learning centre provides access to a demonstration theatre; state-of-the-art labs, classrooms and meeting spaces; Bistro ’67, a full-service, green-certified teaching restaurant; and growing fields just steps from the labs.

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students required an Ontario Secondary Diploma (OSSD) or an OSSD Equivalency.
  • If students do not have an OSSD but are 19 years of age or older, they may be eligible to apply as a mature applicant.
  • English Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent.
  • Mathematics Grade 11 M or U or 12 C, or U, or equivalent.
  • Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL and PTE to get admission in this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Secured a minimum of 70% marks in one of these certificates: All India Senior School Certificate, Higher Secondary School Certificate, Intermediate Certificate, Indian School Certificate.
  • Completed grade 11 and grade 12 with 70% marks.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
