Master of Education [M.Ed] Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Licensure Requirement (not required for graduation):Candidates seeking Ohio license are required to pass specific assessments in order to apply for licensure. Students should consult their advisors for specific program requirements and refer to the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapy Board website for more information on assessments specific to licensure type.
The M.Ed. degree curriculum is a minimum of 60 semester hours, including a 600 clock-hour internship. A pre-practicum examination and comprehensive examination must be passed for matriculation and graduation. This program is designed to fulfill the educational requirements for licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. The program may be pursued on a part-time or full-time basis, although some full-time study is urged.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university to get admission to this program.
- Students require a minimum GPA of 3 on a 4.0 scale for the program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Students need to submit minimum GRE exam scores for a better chance of admission.
- Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
